Bill up: first assessment after one month

Anthony Scacchetti, the director of Bill Up, looks back on the month that has passed since the launch of the application.

With a start at CES in Las Vegas and the first users, the team faced numerous challenges to improve the experience. In this internal exchange, Anthony shares with us the latest developments, the adjustments made to simplify the process even more and the future goals for Bill Up.

Bill up was launched a month ago. I imagine that was a pretty intense period?
Indeed, it has been a very busy month. We received a lot of feedback from users, which required us to analyze them well in order to respond correctly and adjust. We also had to understand how to refine our presence on the stores, study the site's KPIs and, of course, seek to improve the whole to make the experience even easier.

The launch took place at CES in Las Vegas. How were you selected for this event?
There are actually two selection stages, so twice as much stress! The first is done by the AURA region, which assesses the relevance of the project. If you are validated, you must then prepare a file for the CES and wait to be selected there too!

You were also invited to BFM TV. How did this experience go?
The biggest stress was watching the timer go by in front of me! The journalist asks you a question, and you see that you have three seconds left to answer. It's really hard to respond in such a short period of time, and it creates a little pressure not to forget essential information.

Since the launch, how has the customer experience been going?
There is one aspect that we had clearly underestimated: the number of different Android models! With varying screen sizes, different keyboards, etc. This required adjustments to ensure a smooth experience. We also realized that we needed to shorten the registration process to meet our promise to “simplify payment.” We have therefore modified several screens of the application, and now, all you need is three pieces of information: an email, a password of your choice and the name of the profile to start using Bill up!

What are the next steps for Bill Up?
The aim is to continue to improve the application, adding new features while staying focused on simplicity. We also want to expand our presence in Europe and the United States. Finally, we want to perfect the design. We are not yet “pixel perfect”, even if Aymeric Ravet did an exceptional job at this level!
